Though it looks like a romantic Thanksgiving dinner for two, it is actually my sister and I having our first one on our own. We had to have it early because she works at Wal-Mart and has to guard the TV’s before Black Friday Insanity. It was good. We watched the parade as we ate. I didn’t cook a whole bird, because we don’t like the dark meat, it’s a waste, but we did have turkey, mashed yukon gold potatoes, corn bread stuffing, rolls, olives, cranberry sauce and sparkling cranberry-apple cider. Later I will have pumpkin pie and whipped cream. 

I am thankful I can still get food and have a roof over my head. I am thankful my sister and I are getting along again. I am thankful to have gone back to school; for writing; crochet; my friends; my cat; a hopeful future; and for what time I had with my parents.
