My Media Writing teacher is making us read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I just failed the test for chapters 3 and 4 because I could not remember ANY part of what I had read. The book is awful. It is the drug fueled “adventures” of two morons. Not something I would ever read if I was not being forced to. The entire time I read it all I can think “really?” and “why am I wasting any part of my life reading this?” The worst part is, we have to watch the movie as well. It’s his example for making a book into a script. *Sigh*

I suppose there are people who like the book, but it just isn’t my kind of genre. I read mysteries and thrillers not acid trips. I just don’t find drugs interesting to read about and drug users are even less interesting.
